1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Jobbli platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Jobbli is an online employment platform that connects teenage job seekers (ages 14 to 17) with employers in Ontario, Canada. The Platform provides tools for job posting, application management, and communication between employers and job seekers.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your information
  • Keep your login credentials confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

3.2 Age Requirements

Job seekers must be at least 14 years old to create an account. Employers must be at least 18 years old or have legal authority to act on behalf of a registered business.

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Job Seekers

As a job seeker, you agree to:

  • Provide truthful information in your profile and applications
  • Comply with all applicable labour laws in your jurisdiction
  • Communicate professionally with employers
  • Obtain parental or guardian consent where required by law

4.2 Employers

As an employer, you agree to:

  • Post only legitimate job opportunities
  • Comply with all applicable employment and labour laws, including the Ontario Employment Standards Act
  • Treat all applicants fairly and without discrimination
  • Not misuse applicant information for purposes unrelated to hiring

5. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Platform to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or its systems
  • Use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the Platform
  • Engage in any activity that interferes with the operation of the Platform

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design elements, logos, and software on Jobbli are owned by or licensed to Jobbli and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you submit to the Platform but grant Jobbli a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Platform.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

8. Fees

Jobbli is currently free for all users. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will provide reasonable advance notice before any charges apply.

9. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Jobbli does not warrant that:

  • The Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Any job posting or application will result in employment
  • User-submitted content is accurate, complete, or reliable
  • The conduct or qualifications of any user meet your expectations

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jobbli and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or for any other reason at our discretion. You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

12. Modifications

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario, sitting in the City of Toronto.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Jobbli with respect to your use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
