A complete walkthrough of hiring local teens on Jobbli — from creating your account to making your first hire. Most employers post their first job in under five minutes.
Head to jobbli.org/hire/register and start the signup flow. The whole process takes about two minutes, and your account is reviewed within 24 hours so we can keep the platform safe for teen applicants and their families.
What you'll need on hand:
Using an email or phone number that already appears publicly on your website speeds up approval. If neither is online, we may follow up with a short 5-minute verification call.
Once your account is approved, finish your company profile before posting jobs. Profiles with a logo, a clear description, and a website link consistently get more applicants because teens can see who they would be working for.

You can edit your profile at any time from the Account section of your dashboard.
From your dashboard, click Post a Job. Jobs go live to local teens immediately after you submit, and you can post as many as you want. Jobbli is always free for Mississauga employers.

Local teens browse openings in their Jobbli feed, find yours, and apply directly. Every application drops into your Candidates page with the teen's profile, availability, and a short summary of their strengths.

You will get an email and in-app notification whenever a new application arrives. Notification settings can be adjusted from your Account page.
Once you mark a candidate as Interested, the Message button unlocks. Messaging happens inside Jobbli, so neither side has to share personal contact information before they are ready.
Common things to message about:
For safety, keep all hiring-stage communication inside Jobbli messages. If anything feels off in a conversation, use the Report button.
When you find the right teen, open their candidate card and select Hire. Jobbli marks the role as filled (or you can keep it open for additional hires) and the candidate receives a confirmation message.
After hiring, take a few minutes to:
Rejected and reviewed candidates remain on your Candidates page, so you can re-engage them when a new role opens.
Once a teen is hired, you handle pay, scheduling, and day-to-day management directly. Jobbli does not take a cut and does not sit between you and your hire. Your dashboard continues to track active jobs, total applicants, and hires this month so you can plan future roles.
If the role goes well, leave a short review on the teen's profile. Reviews help reliable teens stand out on future applications.
